  Mt Pleasant is home to Central Michigan University; one of Mid Michigan's Community College's campuses, the Soaring Eagle Casino, Soaring Eagle Casino Waterpark, shopping centers Walmart, Meijer and many many small private and publicly own businesses; a beautiful Historic downtown. Beautiful parks that surround the Chippewa River, including a newly renovated Timbertown where children can come and play safely, right next to a water play area on hot summer days. Located both on Pickard and Mission roads are many hotels, one being built one, newly built the Marriott right next to CMU and; also, for longer stays are Wolts and Chippewa Motels'.
